Also known as Kalighat, this is Kolkata’s most significant temple and an important pilgrimage centre for devotees of Durga. Its beautiful grounds and tranquil energy make it a delight even for non believers. Note: animal sacrifices are not uncommon here—it may not be suitable for young children.
